You get the number before we pick up a tool, and it does not move unless we find something we could not have seen — in which case we stop and ask you first.
We turn up when we said
You get a two-hour window, not a whole day. If we miss it, $50 comes off the callout. It has cost us money and we have kept the policy.

Questions we get asked
Do you charge a callout fee?
Yes, from $149, and it is the first thing we tell you on the phone. It covers travel and the first assessment. If you go ahead with the work, it comes off the total.
How fast can you get here in an emergency?
We keep two vans on emergency rotation. In practice that is usually under two hours within our service area. If it is going to be longer we tell you on the phone so you can call someone else if you need to.
Can you give a price over the phone?
For common jobs like a blocked drain or a leaking tap, usually yes. For anything where the cause is unclear we will give you the callout price and then a firm number once we have looked.
Are you licensed and insured?
Licence PL-40128 and public liability insurance to $2 million. Both appear on every invoice, and we are happy to send the certificates before we come out.
What if the problem comes back?
If it is something we worked on, the two-year workmanship warranty covers it and there is no second callout fee. If it is a different fault we will tell you that plainly.
Do you work weekends?
Saturdays 8am to 4pm at normal rates. Sundays and public holidays are emergency callouts only, at the emergency rate, which we quote before dispatching.
