Mobile Optimization

Your site was designed on a 27-inch screen
and it is being used on a 6-inch one

Most of your visitors arrive on a phone, on a mobile network, with one thumb and no patience. If the page takes four seconds, shifts under their finger, or hides the button below a cookie banner, they leave — and you never see it happen. We find exactly where that is happening on your site and fix it.

What it actually costs

Nothing looks broken. That is the problem

A failing mobile experience almost never announces itself. The site loads, the pages are there, and the analytics show traffic. What they do not show is the person who tapped, waited, and closed the tab before anything was recorded.

It is fast for you and slow for them

You test it on office wi-fi, on a recent phone, with everything already cached. Your customer is on a three-year-old Android on a mobile network in a car park. Those are completely different websites, and only one of them has ever been measured.

Google grades the mobile version, not the desktop one

Mobile-first indexing means the phone version is the version that gets ranked. If content is hidden, images are unsized or scripts block rendering on mobile, that is what search engines see — regardless of how good the desktop site looks.

The layout moves just as they tap

A late-loading image or banner pushes the page down half a second after it appears. The tap that was meant for 'Buy' lands on something else. People do not report this. They just decide the site is unreliable and go elsewhere.

The form works, and still nobody finishes it

Wrong keyboard on the phone number field, a date picker that fights the thumb, fields that lose their contents when the keyboard opens, an error message scrolled off-screen. Every one of these is a person who wanted to contact you and gave up.

What we do

Measure on real phones, fix what the numbers point at

No redesign unless a redesign is genuinely the answer. Most of what hurts a mobile site is a short list of specific, fixable things — and the only way to know which ones apply to you is to measure.

Core Web Vitals

Google publishes the thresholds: largest contentful paint under 2.5 seconds, interaction to next paint under 200 milliseconds, cumulative layout shift under 0.1. We measure yours on throttled mobile, find what is blowing each budget, and fix that rather than chasing a score.

  • LCP, INP and CLS on mobile
  • Render-blocking resources
  • Field data vs lab data

Load speed on a real network

Images sized and served in modern formats, fonts self-hosted so there is no third-party round trip, scripts deferred, unused CSS cut. The same work we did on this site: three external origins reduced to zero, icon fonts from 270 KB to 13 KB.

  • Image sizing & modern formats
  • Self-hosted fonts
  • Script and CSS trimming

Touch and layout on real devices

Tap targets big enough for a thumb and spaced so the wrong one is not hit. Text readable without zooming. Nothing that requires horizontal scrolling. Tested on actual phones, not just a narrow browser window.

  • Tap target size & spacing
  • Readable type at default zoom
  • No horizontal overflow

Forms and checkout

The right keyboard for each field, autofill that works, validation that says what is wrong next to the field it is wrong in, and progress that survives the keyboard opening. This is usually where the largest single conversion gain is hiding.

  • Input types & autofill
  • Inline, visible validation
  • Fewer steps to submit

Mobile SEO

Making sure the mobile version actually contains the content you want ranked, that structured data is present, that titles and descriptions are not truncated on a phone, and that nothing important is hidden behind an interaction a crawler will not perform.

  • Mobile-first indexing checks
  • Structured data
  • Titles & snippets on mobile

Proof it worked

Before-and-after measurements from the same test conditions, so the improvement is a number you can check rather than a claim we make. If a change did not help, we say so and try something else.

How we work

Two things we will not do

We do not optimise for the score

It is possible to move a Lighthouse number without making the site meaningfully faster for anyone, and plenty of agencies sell exactly that. We optimise the experience — what a person on a mid-range phone actually waits for. The score usually follows, but it is the side effect, not the goal.

We do not rebuild what can be repaired

A full redesign is the most expensive answer to a mobile problem and often not the right one. If the fix is a handful of targeted changes, that is what we will quote. If your site genuinely cannot be made fast without rebuilding, we will tell you that plainly and explain why.

How it works

From audit to measurable difference

You get the findings before you commit to anything.

  1. 01

Free mobile audit Two to three days

We test your key pages on throttled mobile, on real devices, and report what we find: what is slow, what shifts, what is hard to tap, what search engines see. You get the list whether or not you hire us.

  2. 02

A quote against that list Same week

Fixed price, tied to specific items from the audit, ordered by what will make the most difference. No packages, no bundling in work your site does not need.

  3. 03

The work, on a copy first Typically 1–2 weeks

Changes are made and checked away from your live site, then deployed once. Nothing goes out untested, and nothing that breaks stays broken while we work out why.

  4. 04

Re-measure and hand over On completion

The same tests run again under the same conditions, side by side with the originals. You get the numbers and a written note of what changed and what to watch.

Proof

We did this to our own site first

This page loads from a single origin. The fonts are self-hosted and split by character range so a visitor downloads only the alphabet they read. The icon font was cut from 270 KB to 13 KB by subsetting it to the glyphs actually used. Three third-party connections became zero. All of it is checkable in your own browser's network tab, right now, on this page.

We also build and run our own software. İKAsistan is a Turkish HR platform we designed, shipped and maintain — the clearest answer to whether the people you are hiring can actually do the work or only advise on it.

Questions

Straight answers

How much does mobile optimization cost?

The audit is free. The work is quoted as a fixed price against the specific items the audit found, so you are paying for named fixes rather than an open-ended engagement. We do not publish a range here because a number chosen before seeing your site would be a guess, and you would be right not to trust it.

How long does it take to see a difference?

Speed and layout changes are visible the moment they are deployed, and you can verify them yourself the same day. Search results move on their own schedule — Google needs to recrawl and then reassess, which typically takes a few weeks, and rankings depend on far more than page speed alone.

Will you need to redesign our website?

Usually not. Most mobile problems are load performance, layout stability, tap targets and form behaviour, all of which can be fixed on the site you already have. If we think a rebuild is genuinely necessary we will say so, explain exactly why, and you are free to disagree.

Do you work with WordPress, Shopify and Webflow?

Yes — those three plus Framer and custom builds. The platform changes which levers are available, not the method: measure on real devices, fix what the measurements point at, measure again.

We already scored well on PageSpeed Insights. Do we need this?

Possibly not, and we will tell you if that is the case. But a good lab score with poor field data is common, and it usually means real visitors on real networks are having a worse time than the test suggests. The audit will show which of the two you have.

Do you work with clients outside your timezone?

Yes. We work with businesses in the United States, Türkiye and the Gulf, and the work itself is asynchronous — measurement, changes, re-measurement. Calls are scheduled to your hours, not ours.

What happens after the work is finished?

Nothing is locked to us. The changes live in your site, documented, and your own developer can maintain them. If you would rather they stayed maintained without you thinking about it, our monthly maintenance plans cover exactly that — but it is an option, not a condition.

Can you prove the improvement?

That is the point of measuring first. You get the before and after from identical test conditions. If a change did not move the number, it is in the report as a change that did not move the number.
